I'm going to make it free in a couple of days so if you want to have a look, it's here.

But a word of warning. If you like gently humorous space tales then this is most definitely not for you. With swearing in abundance, horror, mutilation and death it's not for the squeamish. Although. I haven't gone too mad. I just wanted to see if I could write one.
The only problem is that I've been trying all day to upload it to CreateSpace. It's proving particularly difficult. And even MS Word is getting in on the act. For nearly eleven hours it has stubbornly refused to number the pages of my manuscript.
I will not be beaten.
And what the hell is wrong with blogspot?
I've lost my blog three times today, and as for changing it, nothing seems to be working. All these colours are not my doing. I think I'll just go to bed and dream of bunnies.

bunnies? ok... Kongamato is your best work, I think. I loved the ending.
ReplyDeleteThank you. Your name is on the Kindle version and CreateSpace when that finally happens. Thank you again.
DeleteBlogger has been acting strangely for the last few weeks. It seems to be since the domain names were changed to move blogs onto servers in the countries they originate from. Many of us have had problems with the gadgets since the move - most notably the follower gadget and slideshow. The problems you are having seem quite different, but perhaps that is how it is impacting on some blogs in the UK. The way those of us in the rest of Europe sorted it was to refresh our blog address. If you go to settings - make a small temp change to your blog address, save, change the address back to the actual name, save again. It may not solve the problems you have been having but that was the solution my case after weeks of frustration.
ReplyDeleteI'll give that a shot, thank you. My particular problem, apart from the entire new interface - which is utter rubbish, is that there is no way to add or change gadgets. So when I finally get my paperback version of Kongamato, I won't even be able to publicise it.
ReplyDeleteThat seems a bit strange. It took me a while to 'warm' to the new interface but once I got used to it and figured out where everything was I found it ok to use. I can still add gadgets. I had to remove some of them and put them back to sort out the problems I had and now all work fine. Do you not still have the layout template like before?
ReplyDeleteNo. It gives me no options to change gadgets. It tells me to go back to Design and do it there, but the Design button has gone.
ReplyDeleteI'll fix it in the end, but CreateSpace's utter refusal to entertain me at any cost is taking priority.
I'll do it in the end.
