A little writing today.

Just for a change my wife didn't want me to sweep under the house or move the entire garden two feet to the left today. So I managed to get ten whole pages done of Kongomato 2.

It's a bit tricky given how book one ended but I'm getting there. I hope to have the first draft finished in about six weeks then after a couple of weeks off to produce some of my awful paintings, I'll get back to it. I am enjoying the blood and guts and as this one is definitely not for kids I suppose I ought to include some of the S word. The idea fills me with horror but I've got to do it eventually.

Its not even just for the hell of it since I laid the groundwork in the previous book. I suppose I'll just have to read some to see how it's done. I generally just skip over them.

Such chores but someone's got to do it.

  2. I'm on it. I hope to do twenty pages tomorrow - if my beloved doesn't want the car sprayed another colour.

    1. I'll do both as soon as I've finished the 5k target I've set myself for today.

  4. LOL! They aren't as hard to write as you think. You can always gloss over most of it like a lot of writers do - just make sure to cover the after portion - that is very important from a romantic stand point and sooooo many writers skip it!

  5. That must be very satisfying - I wish I could get 10 pages done! (even 5 would be nice). I wouldn't bother writing about something that I didn't feel comfortable with - I really don't enjoy anything that looks like its been bolted on because the writer feels a part of the audience expect it. If something like that isn't needed to hold the book/plot together leave it out - I also skip over anything I feel is squirm inducing or just plain irritating!

  6. I managed another 15 today because I've only got one more day before I have to work for a week without stopping.(It's not as bad as it sounds) But thanks for that. People say that sex sells but unfortunately, or fortunately, violence sells just as well. I will do a scene mainly because it might be the last time he ever gets to do it. Or maybe not, I haven't decided yet. I like this all-powerful stuff.

  7. I'm with Joleene on this - after is just as important as before and during!

  8. I'm not going to do it. But if I do pluck up the courage I'll get a few lady friends, and my wife, to read it first and give me their opinions and assistance, if they can stop laughing long enough.
