Today I've begun on a book trailer. For some reason Microsoft Movie maker is free. I wonder is M/Soft know that. It's a little odd.
However, I've never done anything like this before. Being absolutely rubbish at composing my own music, I'm trawling the net for free music clips that meet with the needs of Three Hoodies.
If I don't feel that it's right I'll never put it out, but it would be foolish to ignore the many other means of publishing my book.
I've managed the first ten seconds of a two minute clip. Movie Maker has a lot of ingenious effect to make it a decent video, now it's just up to me to make something worthy of it.
I'm going to resist the temptation to watch other people's, if only so I can say I never copied from anyone. Of course that means I run the risk of making something teeth-achingly boring. So I've decided to try for something I'd enjoy. Of course that means little. My sense of humour has always been a little odd. I must be one of the few people who thought the closing scenes of Alien was funny.
I'm ready for my closeup now.
I doubt you'd do anything boring. You shouldn't have printed that Microsoft Movie is free. Now they'll find out and charge by frame.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to see the final product.
It's a lot hard than I thought.
ReplyDeleteCheck out animoto.com. I love it. I have the first upgrade, so I am not limited to a 30 second movie. The free or upgraded membership includes songs that you can use for free, too. It is so easy to use. I love it. Hope it helps.
ReplyDeletethanks for that. I'll give it a look-over.
