Done painting; time to get back to writing.

I finished the painting; or rather I've finished painting it. I don't know if I'll ever get return to it so it's time to get back to writing.

I'm going to give Kongomato 2 a rest for a week or two and finish the final edit of Hoodies 2. This time, I'm gong to do it properly. I'll even try editing it backwards, then forwards. This time there will be no errors when it goes upto Kindle.

I'm not going to do a CreateSpace copy. This one is just for Kindle. If anyone buys it, the plot will be intact and there will be  no errors. So if no one likes it then it will be because they simply don't like it and not because it's riddled with typos. I'll be disappointed  but then at least I'll have the satisfaction of publishing something clean.

But first I'm going to re-enter for the Harper Collins competition and this time I'm going to do what I should have done the first time and send it double line spaced. Hopefully this time I'll get an acknowledgment of entry. Doesn't mean I've won but I have to meet them half way and do it properly.

  2. Thanks. H/C wouldn't take docx files and converting the MS back to doc. was a bit of a pain. I wonder if I should stop using docx files, they're nothing but trouble.

  4. Thank you both. I've never entered a competition before and it's quite nerve racking.

  5. Wishing you much luck on the contest. I've decided to edit as I go, no matter how slow the progress. It's just too frustrating to find everything when the book is done.

  6. I've tried that. I always start to hurry and have to do the whole thing over again.

  7. Thank you. I got bored with it in the end. Maybe one day I'll finish it.
