In celebration of 100,000 words

I achieved 100,000 words on Book of Pain today, and, as  I may have mentioned, it's not even close to finishing, so to celebrate I reworked an earlier painting.

Eagle eyed GIMP users will see that the rigging is a GIMP stamp, but those same users will know what a pain in the bottom it is to paint straight lines using aforementioned package.

However the rest is all mine. I know the sea might be a little too light for the time of day but I'm going to leave this one alone.

   Another day, another painting.

I wonder if I cold get the cat to sit for a painting. It wouldn't take more than three hours. I suppose if I promised her my head it might work. But then she's probably worked out a way of getting that for herself. She still avoiding me and bears her teeth in a particularly nasty way whenever we cross paths.

  1. Wow, I love the deep blue of the water contrasted by all the grays. Looks pretty perfect to me.
