A new poetry collection

I've never written poetry - never tried, in fact because I just know I'd be absolute rubbish. So it was with great pleasure that I read a new collection by Donna Yates. Not only does she write beautifully but she also creates wonderful poetry.

Stepping Stones

   With a wide variety of poems dealing with any and every subject, she covers the entire gamut. I especially enjoyed her Iambic Pentameter. Her sense of dramatic timing, skillful touch and elegant humour was a joy. I only have one book of poems and that's a collection of Shakespearean sonnets. This will definitely be sitting next to it from now on.
