I utterly refuse to twatch TV

It's everywhere. I just can't get away from it. So I'm shutting myself in the house for the next two weeks. I'm even walking to the supermarket. There must be a war film on somewhere to watch.

I've begun to paint the book cover and am now just waiting for a reaction to my preliminary sketches.

I'm also reading through Donna Yates's new novel which I hope will be released soon. It's very good and I believe will win many sales. It's in a style I could never hope to emulate since I couldn't write more than one paragraph without inserting something silly or cheeky into it. I'm convinced everyone will love it when she publishes it.

Today I've decided that I want to go here for a few days. There's no pub but I could get by there, especially since in my world, there are no TV's and absolutely no Olympics.

Next week I'll get back to my writing. Just got to finish off the last part of the reformatting for smashwords then upload it. So far I haven't had the boys from Amazon kicking down my door so I'm hoping for the best. They're probably really nice chaps, but I'm making my daughter stand guard just in case.
Nothing wimpy about me.

  1. Hmmm - that's the kind of place I could easily go to myself. I like the rock formation on the right and what looks like a patch of sunlight above the tree line.

Donna gave us such a tantalising glimpse of her novel in her last post - I'm hoping to be able to read it when she publishes it as well.

As for the boys from Amazon - lucky you have a strong woman (or two) to stand behind!

  2. You'll love the book.
And as for Amazon, they wouldn't dare cross my daughter when she give them her seventeen year old "look".

  3. I don;t get TV channels, so I am blissfully unaware of it all :) however, even without TV I don;t think you will be able to avoid it....

Am looking forward to Donna's book as well!

Just left you a review on amazon US and goodreads for Three hoodies btw ;)

    1. I can avoid it. After watching paint dry I can't think of a more pointless event than sport. My wife says I have a gene missing.

I just read your review of Hoodies. Thank you so much.

I'm glad the slang wasn't too obscure. I worked hard to get it universal enough that anyone might understand it.
Hoodies Two is almost ready to roll; as is three although I'll probably wait a year or so and try to get it even better. Thanks again for the review.

  4. Roger, I cannot thank you enough for saying what you did about my book. It means so much to me, and I am greatly honored. Your editing has been invaluable. Thank you so much!

Another great place to be right now. Cool and beautiful.

You are so funny - your daughter standing guard. Poor girl.

Thank you again for your kind words.
