First the good news.

The good news is that I've finally got my arm back.

So now I can get back to: Book of Pain. Almost finished the first draft.

And Kongomato 2 almost finished the first draft

And finally Hoodies 3  Nearly finished the second draft.

The painting is finally done. It took me hours just to do the water. There's probably better ways of doing it but I don't know them. More importantly, I've finally learnt something else, which is when to stop even if I don't like it. I do, sort of, but for better or worse it's finished.

The bad news? Well there isn't any.

I have two whole days off work and now I can get back to writing and return to the Ink-slingers League which I've sorely neglected.

  1. No bad news?! Yes! :)

I love the colors, Roger. VERY lifelike and vivid, which isn't easy to achieve. And you're right, the hardest thing for art is knowing when to push away and be happy with what you've created. Well done, sir.

And I'm right there with you in the Ink-Slingers neglect. Just got a short story crit back to Donna, and I'm hoping to get more active otherwise.

  2. Thank you kindly.
Now that I (think) I've found a reasonable alternative to that instant messenger service that cannot be named; oh, okay, then, Yahoo. I'll be able to participate in the Mother's Day sale on Ink-slingers.

  6. The reflections in the water are really neat -- both the mountains and the subtle clouds. I'll have to try painting water some time.

  7. Thanks. For me at least, it's the hardest part.
