Offers on the bike.

Even though my wife was less than gracious about my offer to sell "Gladys" the motorbike, I put it on a site I've never heard of before called gumtree. Within two, yes two minutes I had my first offer and the phone hasn't stopped all day. One man even offered to put the money into my paypal account (which I don't have) without even seeing it. Call me a fool but I couldn't do it. So now I'm just waiting for the first potential buyer to come round.

Part of me hopes it will go tonight and the other, hopes that no one will turn up.

Posted two hours later.

Gladys has gone. I'm happy and depressed. Is that possible?

Mind you, I've just seen a great bike for sale on the same site from which I just sold Gladys. We'll just keep it a secret from She who must be obeyed - well at least some of the time.

  2. I know. The phone, email, text didn't stop for one hundred and two times. I could have sold it a dozen times. Quite impressive.

  3. I so understand those feelings. Sorry, Roger, tough time, I'm sure.

  4. What's worse is that I got knocked off my new bike yesterday. Gladys is haunting me
