Short story compilation.

I've nearly finished putting together my short story compilation. And never one to do things the right way round, I've already painted the cover. It's not finished yet and I probably won't use it. But it gives me something to do when my creative juices are running dry.

  1. I would be tempted to pick up a book with this cover, maybe you should consider using it.

  2. Thank you, I might. I'll need to do a little more work on it first.

  3. Darn, you are talented. This is a great cover. Barbara is right. I'd have that book at the checkout stand by now.
I'm still struggling with gimp, trying to do my cover. Wish I had your talent.

    1. Thanks. There are about a million gimp lessons on the net. A major source of inspiration for me has been Youtube. And the best part is that nobody has to see the rubbish that you paint, and I have painted an awful lot of pure rubbish.

  4. Nice job on the cover! I agree, sometimes we have to turn that creativity onto something besides words. :)
I need to learn how to do my own covers.

    1. I actually bought, with real money, Photoshop. It cost a fortune and in my opinion is very unfriendly with a learning curve that's more of a cliff. If anyone is learning and doesn't want to spend too much before they're ready, for me the only answer is Gimp. The fact that it's absolutely free helps quite a bit.
