Got my tablet tethered.

I finally got my tablet tethered to my android. Even after having an argument with a man at a very large chain of phone chops, informing me smugly that I couldn't have done it with a pay-as-you-go simm despite the fact that it worked and had been for more than two days, I finally laughed in his face and politely declined his offer of a Mifi unit costing the earth and only lasting for thirty days.

The only thing I've found wrong with Kingsoft Office, apparently the bestest office app for android, it won't let me send my work back to my computer as a file. I have to send it as the body of a gmail. I don't really mind because now I can do it. I got two pages done while caught up in traffic after the tragic death of that poor helicopter pilot and the man on the ground today.

The temptation to hold the tablet up as the work disappeared was almost overwhelming. I know, childish, but I didn't care. It's taken me over two weeks. And the best part, I don't have to decipher the truly horrendous writing that only a very impatient left-hander can produce while trying to get the ideas down as quickly as they sprout from my over active brain.

The boss wasn't overly impressed, either. We were driving down Oxford Street at the time.

And yes, despite my daughter betting me a pound, (and I know she's reading this) simm does have two m's. If you don't believe me you little brat; look it up.

  1. Thanks, Shelley. She lost and won't pay up. I only wish I were still giving her pocket money, so I could hold some of it back.

  3. Roger, too funny again. But I'm glad you got it working ok. I hate when I get an idea and start scribbling, then I have to figure out what I wrote.

    1. Yes, it's about time I got some real work all day instead of sleeping or reading or doing nothing. Who am I kidding?
